Accommodations in the Yucatán Peninsula

In the heart of the Yucatán peninsula, stands a majestic residence, the Hacienda Temozon. Once a private family-run estate, the Hacienda's exquisitely furnished twenty-six rooms and suites offer guests a real experience of the grandeur and affluence of the past. With spacious gardens, a spectacular swimming pool and a 17th century church, this is an ideal place for relaxation or the starting point to discover the surrounding Mayan architectural sites.

San Jose Cholul is a smaller more private hacienda located south east of Merida. The 15 rooms and suites are conditioned with exquisite details and locates around the main 18th century building, surrounded by beautiful gardens.

We invite you to evoke the splendor of past eras, eveloped in the luxurious amenities and services expected of a five-star hotel. Learn about the history, our role in the social context of this ever evolving land, the rich juxtaposition of the ancient and modern cultures. Delight in the flavors of our cuisine, the architectural heritage of our rooms and the archeological zones, colonial villages and the natural reserves that surround us.

Surrounded by major Arqueological zones and colonial villages like Chichen Itza (one hour 15 minutes drive), Ek Balam and Dzibilchaltun and natural reserves (the rare Pink Flamingos in Ria Lagartos), the historical "yellow" city of Izamal and the hacienda Ake, were you still can see how they worked the Sisal fibers in the glorious days, the hacienda is the perfect place for cultural day trips.

The Hacienda is also the perfect place for the guests seeking recreation (Mountain bikes and horses are available, hikes can be organized) and relaxation (use the Spa services the hacienda offers or just relax for a while at the border of the beautiful designed and very well located swimming pool).

Opened in March 2003, we presently have Cabanas and Jungalows with full restaurant and bar facilities with a low rise Hotel planned for the future.
Rio Bec Dreams is in the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve, an area of 6 million acres. As this is a United Nations designated biosphere, our goal is to be as self-reliant and ecologically responsible as possible.  To this end, we recycle our grey water and are working towards self-sufficiency with solar power.  Rain water supplies over 50% of our water needs at present.
