Ten days in Yucatan

 Our journey takes us to plantations granted to the conquistadors by the Kings of Spain, and through picturesque Mayan villages whose thatch-roof cottages look much the same today as when  the spanish  Franciscans built churches in their midst four and a half centuries ago.

Tour's Schedule

Day 1)  Pick up at Cancun airport and transfer to the Flamingo Cancun Hotel.
Afternoon at leisure.     Shared basis transportation.

Day 2)  Your private guide and transportation will meet you at the lobby of the hotel to take you  to the archeological site of Chichen Itza and visit.  .  Archaeological highlights will be the great pyramid consecrated to the plumed serpent-god Kukulcan, the Temple of a Thousand Columns, the Observatory, the largest Ball Court in the Maya World, and the Sacred Well of Sacrifice. 
 Lunch at the site.  You will have the opportunity for swimming   in a near Cenote (sink hole).  Transfer to the city of Merida and overnight at Maison Lafitte hotel.

Day 3) Visit to the national park of Celestun. This is the biggest nesting area in the continent for the Pink Flamingo.  Here you take a boat trip to observe many  species of birds in a 40 minutes.  After the tour enjoy a seafood lunch  in a typical restaurant
located on the beach . Return to Merida and overnight at the Maison Lafitte hotel.

Day 4)  On this day you visit 2 archeological sites.  Mayapan and Acanceh.  The first one is a miniature copy of Chichen Itza that  is believed was destroyed by a big fire. Acanceh has  a beautiful temple with 6 stucco masks that represent Kinich Ahau, the sun god.
 The visit continues with the meeting of a couple of Mayan villages where you can admire old churches from the Conquest period;  And in the village of Mani  you will enjoy one of the best restaurants in the zone with typical food.  After lunch, continue to the hotel
 Hacienda Uxmal.   Enjoy the light and sound show at Uxmal, this show tells the story of the people that lived in the city.  Overnigh Hotel  Hacienda Uxmal

Day 5) Trip to Campeche.  The neighboring state with a colonial city on the beach,  where you can find many museums and fortress and learn about the pirate histories. Lunch with typical seafood. Visit to the near Mayan zone of Edzna.  Return to Uxmal
 and overnight at Hacienda Uxmal.

Day 6)   Uxmal is rated a must-see attraction in Yucatan guidebooks; most notable are its immense Pyramid of the Magician, intricately carved friezes of the Nunnery Quadrangle, and grand Palace of the Governor. 

 After Uxmal, continue to the cave of Loltun, the second biggest in the state and where you will see pre Colombian paintings and Mayan pottery. Box lunch meal is included.  Transfer to Merida and check in at the Maison Lafitte hotel.

Day 7) Visit to Ek Balam.  This is a wonderful place opened to the public just a few years ago with incredible decoration in the main building.  Transfer to Coba, the biggest archeological site in the Area, where the Nochoch Muul is located, the second tallest
pyramid in Mexico.  Lunch at Valladolid.    Transfer to hotel Club Akumal Caribe.    Your private guide and transportation end services  on this day.

Day 8) Boat trip to Cozumel.  This is the biggest Island in Mexico; Here you can snorkel, dive or just take a bike to go around the island. Lunch  included.  Return to the hotel Club Akumal Caribe.  Day tour in shared basis.

Day 9) Tulum and Xelha.  Tulum is a small Mayan site at the ocean shore with breathtaking views of the Caribean sea.  After, you will visit Xelha, a national park where you can snorkel around hundreds of fish.  Return to hotel Club Akumal Caribe.  Day tour  in shared basis.

Day 10) Transfer back to Cancun airport.  End of services.   Shared basis
